Carpet Beetles Live Outside

Carpet beetles are generally found outside homes, but can enter your home and use your carpets to lay their eggs. And one you have these larvae in your home they can damage your carpet and other fabrics like in your upholstery or curtains. So if at any stage you do find their presence in your home you would do well to take immediate action to get rid of them. You may also find that they get into food or any other animal product. Once the adult carpet beetles lay their eggs, you will find them trying to leave the house through windows and other openings, and you can spot them on the screens if you are vigilant. See if you can track them back to where they laid the eggs and first get rid of these before they hatch and develop into larvae.
